The AI2FUTURE conference took place in the Kraš Auditorium for two days, on October 13 and 14 and gathered more than 350 participants, representatives of the Croatian AI community of companies and startups that develop products, services and solutions based on artificial intelligence. The 6th edition of the conference was also the annual conference of the CroAI Association, which presented AI Landscape 3.0, a survey of the AI scene in Croatia. The conference also discussed the activities of European countries in the field of artificial intelligence, the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and the possibility of machines developing a certain level of consciousness. This year, the partner country of the conference was Great Britain.
CroAI startup pitch is an event designed to get AI startups in front of investors, business owners, and entrepreneurial community. CroAI is looking for the best regional AI early-stage startups to give them the opportunity to show their chops and connect with angel investors, VC funds, and corporate partners.
Elin Hauge, AI and business strategist, talked about debunking myths about artificial intelligence. She emphasized that there is a big gap between the development of advanced solutions and everyday business - in order for artificial intelligence to be of real value for business and society, the developed solutions must find their application in practice.
The panel was moderated by Martina Silov (CroAI), and she was joined in the discussion by Chris Barton (Trade Commissioner, Great Britain), Amy Lillis (US Embassy in Croatia), Mislav Malenica (CroAI, Mindsmiths ) and Ratko Mutavdžić (Microsoft).
The VC fund members at the conference were (off and online) were Fil Rouge Capital, Feelsgood capital, Launchub, Next Road Ventures, 11.me, Day one capital, J&T Investment VC, RocaX, Portfolion and APX VC.
The winner of this year’s CroAI Startup pitch competition was Legit (Data Privacy Manager). Data Privacy Manager is modern and easy to use web application that addresses GDPR requirements.
Companies should manage personal data to be GDPR compliant - protect the data, use the data according to received consents an be able to fullfil end-user requests defined by regulation. Our unique CLM platform will enable company DPO to manage consents and end-user requests in simple and user-friendly way.
The second place was awarded to Sanitas Analytica and DING.jobs received the votes for the third place. DING is a new application for student employment. Sanitas Analytica is a multi-disciplinary research group consisting of medical doctors, artificial intelligence experts, and molecular biologists.

The 2020 and 2021 winners of the AI2FUTURE CroAI Startups Pitch contest, Robotiq.ai and Cidrani secured more then 1,5M euro investment.
Typing AI was the first company to pitch at the AI2FUTURE 2022 Startups Pitch contest.
Typing AI Biometrics is a secure typing biometrics authentication API that identifies people by the way they type. The detection accuracy level is very high and there are almost no false positives. This project uses artificial intelligence in order to detect the typing pattern. A unique typing ID is generated for each user. TypingAI can be integrated in web, desktop and mobile apps using any programming language.
